Defending the rights of migrants means teaching our community to know and defend their rights.  It means creating awareness about the need to defend our neighborhoods against unscrupulous immigration laws.  VIVA Inclusive Migrant Network has implemented the Defensa Del Barrio project for communities in Oregon, with the goal of teaching and learning about our rights and how to enforce those rights. We all know that we are at a critical moment with this administration and we must get organized and work together. Get involved in helping our people understand their rights!

There are many ways to get involved! You can organize training and awareness sessions in your own neighborhood. You can join the phone network, to be contacted when ICE agents are moving against a community member. Get involved!
